I used the emporia.edu/libsrv website to search the resources of the William Allen White library. After logging into to Buzz-In to get full library access to WAW and external resources, I used the Discovery Search Tab to look up my first resource: A peer-reviewed journal article by K.F. Gracy. After clicking the Discover It button, I was presented with a list of 246 results. The article was listed as both the 1st and 2nd items in the list. I clicked on the first item in the list and was taken to the record page for the item. I clicked on the View Full Text link | Archival Science, ABI/INFORM Global and was presented with the pdf of the article on the ProQuest website.
Unfortunately, page 239 was not included in the pdf. At this point I decided to see if I could find a complete pdf by using the Database Search tab. Using LISTA I was able to find a listing for the article but a full text choice was not available.
If I wanted a complete copy of this article, I would request it through Interlibrary loan and receive a scanned copy of the document in pdf format. I could also purchase a copy of the pdf directly from the journal publisher’s website - http://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s10502-014-9216-2 For the second item of the resource list (Kochan), I again used the Discovery Search Tab and was taken to ProQuest website page with the record for this peer-reviewed journal article. I was able to view/download the item as a pdf or immediately reference the article in full text on the webpage.
The third item on the list(McCormack) is available as both a print book and ebook. I again used the Discovery Search Tab. The ebook version was item 1 in record list, the pinrt version was item 3 in the list, and item 4 on the list was the Downloadable archival material version. (Most probably a corrupted reference to the ebook version). It is not currently held by the Emporia Library in either format. To obtain a copy of the item I would request either the print or ebook version via Interlibrary loan. Note: Clicking the link for the ebook version, I could select the Google Preview button on the record page I was then taken to Google Books and was able to read the first 45 pages of the item.
The fourth item on the list (Ranganathan) is a print book. I again used the Discovery Search Tab and was taken to the results list where the book was the first item. Clicking on the link too me to the record page for the book. To access the book I would need to request it via interlibrary loan or visit the Emporia Library in person. The item is located on ESU library deck 1 with a call number of 020 R16f2. It is currently available. NOTE: Searching via Google I was able to download a pdf version of the work from this weblink – https://babel.hathitrust.org/cgi/pt?id=uc1.$b99721;view=1up;seq=9 This version is the 1931 edition.
The final item on the reading list (Tella) is a peer-reviewed journal article. I again used the Discovery Search Tab and the article was the first item in the results list. Clicking on the article lead me to its records page. Here I was able to view/download the article as a pdf. I was also able to individually download the journal article graphics.
