This course is an introduction to user-centered reference services and the application of theories of information behavior. Students are introduced to models of information seeking, retrieval and sharing; student accommodations for the selection, evaluation, and use of appropriate resources; information literacy, learning styles, and best practices in providing user-centered reference services.
