At that time I tried to make the point that "while the damage and deterioration more often occurs in the paper support it is the media on the surface of the paper that determines what can or cannot be done to treat the work of art"1. This point is no where more obvious than in the treatment of the water sensitive and friable works of art I will be discussing today. ---- ====== Major Projects ======= ^Project^Due Date^^ |[[class:827:Exploring Formats]]|6/17| |[[class:827:Digital Preservation Paper]]|7/8| |[[class:827:Disaster Planning]]|7/22| |[[class:827:Preservation Survey]]|8/10| ---- ====== Weekly Tasks ======= ^Week^Dates^Task^ |01| 5/21 - 5/27 |read Chapter 1 [[books:2010Ritzenthaler_Preserving Archives & Manuscripts|Ritzenthaler]]|[[slim:classes:827:li827mod01]]| | ||post mini-biography to discussion forum by 5/27| |02| 5/28 - 6/03 |read [[articles:xx]] |[[slim:classes:827:li827mod02]]| |03| 6/04 - 6/10 |read [[articles:xx]] |[[slim:classes:827:li827mod03]]| |04| 6/11 - 6/17 |read [[articles:xx]] |[[slim:classes:827:li827mod04]]| |05| 6/18 - 6/24 |read [[articles:xx]] |[[slim:classes:827:li827mod05]]| |06| 6/25 - 7/01 |read [[articles:xx]] |[[slim:classes:827:li827mod06]]| |07| 7/02 - 7/08 |read [[articles:xx]] |[[slim:classes:827:li827mod07]]| |08| 7/09 - 7/15 |read [[articles:xx]] |[[slim:classes:827:li827mod08]]| |09| 7/16 - 7/22 |read [[articles:xx]] |[[slim:classes:827:li827mod09]]| |10| 7/23 - 7/29 |read [[articles:xx]] |[[slim:classes:827:li827mod10]]| |11| 7/30 - 8/05 |read [[articles:xx]] |[[slim:classes:827:li827mod11]]| |12| 8/06 - 8/10 |read [[articles:xx]] |[[slim:classes:827:li827mod12]]|
